PROTECT and PREVENT PIPES FROM FREEZING
Freezing temperatures are forecasted for next week. Please take the time to protect your pipes.
Pipelines in unprotected areas are subject to freeze when temperatures plummet. This situation is common among camps and raised homes. If you own an unoccupied residence, camp or building, please make sure you drain the water system and turn off the water at your shut-off valve and leave the valve open to allow any water trapped to have a way out without damaging the pipes.
If you have a Backflow Preventer, please protect it from freezing temps. These devices are basically check valves that will hold water in the body and freeze and burst if not protected.
Please take some time to review our “Tips to Protect/Prevent Pipes From Freezing”.
